Drop and Dash
  • Bring your items in during store hours. Call prior to bringing in large items such as furniture, car seats, swings or large play toys as this is space dependent.
  • Please, Please!! limit the amount of clothes you bring in at one time. This is the most important requirement as it allows us not to place additional limits on days or hours we receive items. For clothing you may bring in one Paper grocery bag amount in at a time and not more than once a week, unless we have a temporary stop. All other items are unlimited (within reason -call ahead if in question).
  • Mark your bag with your name and phone number. If you wish for unsold items to be returned after 90 days be sure to specifically make the request at each drop off.  Otherwise after 90 days unsold clothing become non-consignment,are discounted 50% or donated to our charity organizations.
How long do I have to sell my items and what are the terms of sale?
The month received and the 2nd month clothing is sold at full price. The 3rd month is at 30% mark-down, 4th month it becomes non consignment and is marked down 50% or donated. At time of drop off you may request specific unsold items to be returned to you. You will be notified to pick up these items after 90 days.

Gear, formal wear and other items are reduced up to 40% over 6 months. Furniture and higher priced items are discounted at pre-arranged terms.

Unsold toys, books and small gear items will be donated after 6 months unless you specifically request them to be returned at time of drop off.

How much money do I make?
     Furniture items you receive 60% of sale price;
     Items priced under $30 you receive 50%;
     Items priced $30.00 and over you receive 60%

Payment can be taken in two ways:
  • Credit: You may charge items to a Store Charge account. At the end of the quarter your earnings will be applied to the balance.  You will be responsible for paying any outstanding balance at that time.
  • Check: Consignment checks are processed at the end of each quarter (March 31, June 30, Sept 31, Dec 31) and mailed to you within 2 weeks.  Our minimum check is $10.00. Balances under $10 dollars will be given in store credit.
Please maintain updated email and snail mail addresses. Returned checks will be held at the store and all checks expire after 90 days.

Handling of Unsold Clothing, Toys and Books:

Everything gets utilized by these agencies and they come back for more. Nothing is resold.

Brands that do not sell well:
Discount Store Brands: Wonder kids, Cherokee, Faded Glory, Circo, Gerber, First Impressions, Old Navy, Okie Dokie and themed items: A limmitted quantity only of Sesame Street, Winnie the Pooh, or Blues Clues. Onesies, Sweat jackets and pants, and fleece do not sell unless of high quality, excellent condition, of unique design or part of a set.  Christmas themed clothing do not resell well, we don't take them. Of course there are exceptions to everything and each year is different from the last.

Items that sell surprisingly well:
Clean and quality shoes, boots, leather slippers, moccasins, PJ's, puzzles, high chairs, car seats and boosters,  blankets (cotton), blocks, stacking toys, outdoor toys, anything wood.

Items we do not accept:
  • Full size Cribs (due to recent flurry of recalls)
  • Any Item that has been recalled, is missing pieces, has been repaired or altered.
  • Baby onesies, unless part of a set, stuffed animals, bottles unless glass, sippy cups unless new in package, teething toys, rattles, used nursing pumps unless Bailey Brand which is the only approved by the FDA for multi users.
Lost items and other mistakes:
Mistakes are inevitable. The most common is a lost clothing tag (usually pulled off by kids).When an item is brought to the register without a tag, we price the item and sell it. This item can not be tracked to the owner so the proceeds from the sale go into an account which is donated to local children's program we select annually in the form of Gift Certificates. Occasionally an item  gets separated before tagging. We do the same as above. We have made amazingly few errors. It is impart the responsibility of the consignor to track sales by checking your inventory statements. If you believe there is an error we will rectify it anyway reasonable.This is a business that relies on your trust that we make the best effort possible to care for your items responsibly and honestly.
